President - Edwin Tatem, PE (WSP)

Edwin E. Tatem is senior vice president, business line executive, and Michigan Chair of WSP USA.
Tatem oversees the operations of WSP USA and is responsible for Midwest Construction Management. In this role, he has championed the delivery of high-quality program management and construction management projects in the areas of Engineering and Inspection services. He provided the leadership and skills necessary to drive growth and operating performance for the region, which encompasses fifteen states in the Midwest. Tatem is the WSP principal in charge of the Gordie Howe Bridge Construction management, Cincinnati Brent Spence Bridge construction engineering and advisor for the Chicago Transit Authority Red Line Extension. He served as the principal in charge of the MDOT I-75 Modernization and the project manager for the major reconstruction of the I-75 Ambassador Bridge Gateway in Detroit. These projects represent over $15 Billion in infrastructure activities. Prior to WSP USA, Tatem held leadership roles at the Road Commission of Macomb County and the Michigan Department of Transportation.
 
An expert in transportation engineering, Tatem has served senior management positions for public agencies, including the Governor’s Transition Team for Transportation, Construction Code Commission, Traffic Safety Advisory Commission. He joined the Wayne State University College of Engineering Board of Visitors and Civil Engineering Board of Advisors. He received an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University and a B.S. in Engineering from Pratt Institute in New York.
 
Edwin is married to Margie and has two daughters, Isabela and Alma.


Vice President - Hussein Ibrahim (MDOT)

Hussein Ibrahim is a Policy/Program Manager at the Michigan Department
of Transportation (MDOT) with more than 14 years of experience in design, construction, project and program management related to high profile projects. Hussein is currently the Senior Project Manager for the Gordie Howe International Bridge (GHIB) project leading an integrated team of professionals to assist the Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) in the delivery of the GHIB project and to provide oversight of the design, construction, and operations ensuring state and federal regulations are being met. Hussein holds a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Wayne State University and is a Project Management Professional.

Secretary - Steve Griffith (HNTB)

Steve Griffith is a Vice President and Construction Department Manager at HNTB Michigan with over 22 years of construction oversight and project management experience.   Steve has been directly involved in the management and delivery of over $1 billion of infrastructure construction projects in southeast Michigan.

Steve is currently serving as the construction project manager for the I-375 Reconnecting Communities Progressive Design-Build Project where he is responsible for construction oversight of the construction of the new    He recently served as the project manager for the $250 million Innovate Mound design-build project where he was responsible for preliminary engineering, procurement development and construction oversight of this 9 miles urban arterial corridor for Macomb County. 

Steve has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Toledo and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Michigan.
